Single-Tube Coriolis Mass Flowmeter: A single-tube Coriolis mass flowmeter has only one sensor tube in the measuring pipe. Fluid flows from the inlet through a single sensor tube, and the mass flow rate is determined by measuring the Coriolis effect induced in the fluid. Single-tube flowmeters are typically suitable for smaller pipe sizes and relatively low flow ranges.
Dual-Tube Coriolis Mass Flowmeter: A dual-tube Coriolis mass flowmeter has two parallel sensor tubes in the measuring pipe. Fluid flows from the inlet to two sensor tubes, and the Coriolis effect induced in each tube is measured separately. The mass flow rate is determined by comparing the measured results from the two tubes. Twin-tube flowmeters are generally suitable for larger pipe sizes and wider flow ranges.
