1.Direct mass flow measurement without temperature or pressure compensation
This is the most critical advantage. Traditional flow meters such as vortex or turbine types measure volumetric flow, but gas volume is highly influenced by temperature and pressure . To obtain true mass flow, additional temperature and pressure sensors are required for complex calculations, which not only increases costs but also introduces more potential error sources.
2.Exceptionally high accuracy and repeatability
Accuracy typically reaches ±0.1% to ±0.5% (or even higher), while repeatability is better than ±0.05%. This is essential for cost-intensive helium measurement and demanding process control applications.
3.Wide Turndown Ratio (Rangeability)
Wide rangeability. This means that the same flow meter can accurately measure both high and low flow rates, making it highly adaptable to different process conditions.
4.Insensitivity to Fluid Properties
The measurement principle is based on vibration and is independent of gas conductivity, dielectric constant, thermal conductivity, or other properties. As long as the medium can flow through the measuring tube, it can be accurately measured. This ensures excellent compatibility with gases such as helium, hydrogen (low density), and others.

Key Considerations
- Extremely Low Gas Density: Helium has the second lowest density among all gases (after hydrogen). Low-density fluids can reduce the sensitivity of the flow meter, making it essential to select a model specifically optimized and calibrated for low-density media. The DN25 caliber you selected is a common choice for measuring gas flow.
- Pressure and Range: Ensure that your operating pressure and required flow range (within target accuracy) fall within the flow meter's rated specifications. Measuring low-density gases at low pressures presents greater challenges.
